Hagerstown Aviation Museum Open Airplane Day

The Hagerstown Aviation Museum will host an Open Airplane Day on Saturday July 22 from 9AM until 4PM in our newly renovated Dome Hangar. This will be an opportunity to see the recent renovations of the original, 1943 Fairchild test flight hangar. The museum’s newly acquired RC-26B Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance airplane and our just acquired iconic “Dustoff” Huey UH-1V helicopter will be on display. Weather permitting, the museum’s two PT-19 WW II trainers will be available for experience rides. The museum, housed in part of the former Fairchild Aircraft facility, is adjacent to the Hagerstown Regional Airport. Entry to the event will be through the Basore Drive gate; signs will be posted to guide attendees.
